How the Home Depot Clearance Finder works
Home Depot sets clearance prices store by store. The same item can be marked down at one store and full price a few miles away. The Finder lists the clearance items recorded at the stores you choose, with each store's checked price and stock, so you can decide where a trip is worth it.
- Search by ZIP code, city, or state, or use your location.
- Select up to 10 stores and tap Show clearance.
- Filter by category, price, or discount, then open an item to compare its price at each store.
Not every store has records. A store without clearance data is grayed out in the store list.
What the prices and dates mean
The Finder records store prices and physical stock from Home Depot checks. When shown, an item's Updated line reflects its current store checks; a last recorded clearance price may be older. Prices change and items sell out, so confirm the price in the Home Depot app or at the shelf before you buy.
A Possible penny label means an item may ring up for $0.01 at checkout; check it in store.
Finding hidden clearance in the store
Many stores no longer keep a dedicated clearance endcap. Marked-down items often stay in their normal shelf spot beside full-price stock, which is one reason shoppers call it hidden clearance.
Price endings such as .06 or .03 no longer reliably show the markdown stage. The date on the tag and the "WAS" price tell you more. How to read Home Depot clearance tags
When clearance reaches $0.01, it becomes a penny item. See today's Home Depot penny list
